Dr. Moeen Naseer Butt is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He earned his PhD in Marketing from Ivey Business School at Western University in Ontario, Canada, in 2017. As a Fulbright Scholar, he completed a Master of Science in Marketing at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in Maryland, USA, in 2011. Dr. Moeen has worked at Lahore University of Management Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan; King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; SKK GSB at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea; and FAST National University in Lahore, Pakistan.

Dr. Moeen’s current research projects include studying how growth, governance, and geography affect the performance of franchise businesses. He also investigates the marketing-finance interface. He employs advanced econometrics and geographic information system (GIS)-based spatial techniques to analyze the proposed relationships in business-to-business (B2B) settings, as well as their consumer-level and societal effects. Additionally, he is interested in the proper use of firm performance metrics by both marketing scholars and practitioners. His work has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Strategic Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. His ongoing projects are currently under review at the Journal of Retailing, European Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. 

Dr. Moeen teaches courses in Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Channel Strategy, and Retail Management & Analytics at the undergraduate, MBA, and master’s levels. He has also developed and delivered several high-impact executive training programs at the Rausing Executive Development Center (REDC) at SDSB LUMS. He has written several marketing case studies published by Harvard, Ivey, Emerald, and LUMS case centers.
