Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Finance at the Suleman Dawood School of Business, and the Director of the Office of Research, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Dr. Saad Azmat brings a wealth of expertise and a rich academic background to his current position. He symbolizes a steadfast commitment to advancing research by leading the support function for the university’s research community. Previously, Dr. Azmat demonstrated his extensive leadership role as an Associate Dean of Research, and the Director of the PhD Program at LUMS. His intellectual pursuits have taken him to renowned institutions around the globe, including the University of Chicago, Monash University, and INCEIF, underscoring the international impact of his research. With a significant tenure as the Chair of the Centre for Islamic Finance at LUMS, Dr. Azmat's scholarly contributions have been prominently featured in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Australian Journal of Management and Pacific Basin Finance Journal. Beyond the academic realm, Dr. Azmat possesses a noteworthy consulting background, offering guidance to government bodies, Islamic banks, and corporate entities. His academic influence extends further as a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard SAI program. Notably, he holds the prestigious role of Editor in Chief for the Annual Review of Islamic Finance, adding a unique dimension to his multifaceted contributions.
