GrISt: Green Internet-of-Things (IoT) for Climate SmartAgriculture

With the increasing trend of population growth and adversity of climate change countries like Pakistan are facing or on the verge of food insecurity. If the trend continues its exponential growth soon the situation will worsen and these countries might face issues like famine. In order to deal with this problem at hand, this project adopted the idea of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA). CSA aims to tackle three main objectives: sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes; adapting and building resilience to climate change; and reducing and/or removing greenhouse gas emissions, where possible. In a nutshell, this project had the potential to accelerate the use of smart farming techniques thereby, improve productivity and food resilience for the farmers.
