The project aimed to increase the Pakistani legal profession’s knowledge and awareness of the responsibility of businesses to respect human rights through U.S. and Pakistani cooperation, with two primary objectives: 1)Pakistani students will gain a thorough understanding of Business and Human Rights and therefore will be willing to advise and work on this area; and 2) Pakistani lawyers will be equipped to effectively advise businesses on how to respect human rights and communities and remedy violations of human rights by businesses in Pakistan. Thereby, providing an understanding, academic and legal exposure to students and the legal fraternity in Pakistan. The project will introduce Business and Human rights at the university level.
